Venice - Miniatur Wunderland

Venice | Hamburg.com ─ Miniature Wonderland's newest attraction

When Miniatur Wunderland inaugurates its newest section on 22 February, 2018 another piece of the puzzle is added to what has become Germany’s most popular tourist attraction. The new section is entirely dedicated to the city of Venice. Originally planned as part of the Italy section, which was finished in September 2016, the crew of Miniatur Wunderland decided that Venice deserved even more attention to detail. In result, the city received special treatment and was built separately, amounting to another 35.000 working hours. The  9 sqm of Venice are built right next to the 190 sqm that make up Rome, Florence and the rest of Italy. What little space is taken up by the city by the lagoon is made up for by meticulous attention to detail. Next to world-famous sights such as St. Mark's Basilica and the Rialto Bridge, the real art lies in all the little things. A total number of 206 different buildings, 150 gondolas and 26 bridges delivers the backdrop for around 3.000 new figures and their little adventures.
