Mo&Friese Children’s Short Film Festival Hamburg

Kids and teens between the ages of 4 and 18 are the intended audience at the Mo&Friese Children's Short Film Festival. As one of only a few in the World, this festival is entirely dedicated to children's short films. Every year, Mo&Friese takes place simultaneously to the Hamburg International Short Film Festival, and features around 70 films from a variety of countries and genres, ranging from animations and short fictions to documentaries and experimentals. The films are screened in their original language and, in the case of foreign-language films, live-translated into German at the cinema.

At the end of the festival, three kids' juries hand out awards for the best films in three age-defined categories. In addition to the screenings, kids can also partake in several workshops related to film technology and filming skills. The resulting short films are presented at the last day of the festival.
