For the nine years in a row, the Institut Français de Hambourg has participated in the Festival of Animated Film, organized by the Association Française du Cinéma d'Animation (AFCA) in France. For two evenings in a row, guests are invited to feature films for adults and children over the age of 14, as well as to a series of short films for all ages.
The 2019 schedule was as follows:
28 October, 7 p.m.
The Painting (2011) directed by Jean-François Laguionie. Screened in the original French with English subtitles.
29 October, 4:30 p.m.
Short film series without words for all ages.
29 October, 7 p.m.
A Man is Dead (2018) directed by Oliver Cossu. Screened in the original French with English subtitles.
The 2021 schedule is TBA.
