Hamburg Chamber of Commerce
Hamburg has several local authorities that deal with commerce and which provide a range of services for businesses and entrepreneurs. The largest is the Handelskammer Hamburg (Chamber of Commerce) which is the main representative of the local business community. It provides a central point for registering new businesses and issuing permits, and provides information about local commercial matters and legal affairs.
The services of the company founding centre are directed at people interested in self-employment and setting up their own business in Hamburg (except a handicraft business). You do not need an appointment to receive a free initial consultation. Amongst other things, you will receive a starter kit containing leaflets with useful information.
