Kunstwerk Carlshütte Art Space
A Home to Art
This non-profit organisation brings visitors close to the art on this large estate in Rendsburg/Büdelsdorf, Schleswig Holstein. Once home to an iron foundry which provided agricultural products, the Kunstwerk Carlshütte’s historic housing is now a very special location for exhibitions, concerts, readings, plays and film presentations.
Music and Accessible Art
The Kunstwerk Carlshütte is also home to the International Orchestra Academy of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, with the specially converted ACO Thormann Hall providing space for up to 120 young musicians and 950 audience members.
The entire area of the Kunstwerk Carlshütte is made up of several elements; aside from the concert hall, there is a sculpture garden, a cafe, and some of the artwork even reaches into the surrounding public areas.
The Carlshütte attracts many visitors every year to view the impressive body of art from NordArt. NordArt is one of the biggest annual exhibitions of contemporary art, with hundreds of specially selected artists invited to present a body of contemporary work, incorporating the incredible, juxtaposed background of the Carlshütte.
