In general, AWO AQtivus provides guidance, advice and support on career-related issues to foreign skilled workers looking to relocate to Hamburg as well as to immigrants already living in Hamburg.
Our Services
The Job and Training Service Point focusses on helping clients ages 25 and over who are seeking training placement by offering the following services:
- Specialised career-specific guidance:
- Assessment of pre-existing skills and experience
- Identification of career prospects
- Support in developing professional goals
- Advice on the German educational and professional training systems
- Information on specific apprenticeships
- Guidance on the application process
- Career coaching
- Apprenticeship and job placements
After applicants have successfully got a job or been placed in a training programme, we can still provide guidance and advice for a period of at least six months.
