It is a particular challenge to find your way around the authorities when you are new to Hamburg. Add to that childcare or further education, and it can be hard to keep track of everything, especially if the system is different than in your home country. We would like to give an overview of what Hamburg has to offer in this regard for the little ones and school kids. Also we provide a small overview of social benefits related to family and who can apply for them.
Therefore we will speak with you about the following topics:
- childcare: search for a childcare facility and the daycare voucher
- school system: from preschool to graduation
- child benefit and parental allowance: What is it and can I apply for it?
