Hamburg Welcome Tour

Mediterranean flair at the river Elbe:

A guided walk through Blankenese and the “Treppenviertel”!

The Hamburg Welcome Center invites you in May to a beautiful walk, guided in the English language, through the former fishing and pilot village Blankenese in the west of Hamburg. Our way leads past luxurious Wilhelminian villas with georgeous gardens and parks. After we have enjoyed the magnificent view of the river Elbe from the “Kanonenberg”, we will continue to the “Treppenviertel” with its picturesque alleyways and winding staircases. This Mediterranean flair is reminiscent of a holiday resort on the Riviera! Our tour ends at the ferry pier Blankenese, right on the Elbe beach. From here you can look forward to another highlight of the afternoon from about 4:30 p.m.: The traditional “Sailaway parade” of ships on the occasion of the 830th Hamburg Harbour Birthday!

We look forward to sharing another part of Hamburg with you!
