Report blasting with explosive substances
If you want to carry out blasting work, you must indicate this.
Important notes
Prerequisites
- The reporting person is the responsible person according to Section 19, Paragraph 1, No. 1 of the SprengG
- The person responsible for the actual blasting (permit or certificate of competence holder) must provide evidence of appropriate specialist knowledge.
Documents required
The notification must be made in writing in duplicate. The advertisement must state:
- Place, day and time of the blasting (in the case of several blastings, the period in which they are to be carried out),
- Name and address of the persons responsible for the detonation as well as
- Number, date and issuing authority of the valid permit according to § 7 and the valid certificate of competence according to § 20 of the Explosives Act.
- Description of the blasting work according to the type, method and scope of the blasting,
- technical blasting data, such as the type and maximum quantity of explosives and detonators to be used for each blast,
- Removal of the blasting sites from particularly vulnerable buildings and facilities within a radius of at least
- 1000 m, especially to hospitals, schools, homes for the elderly and children, sports facilities and playgrounds,
- Safety measures, in particular cover areas for employees, blocking measures on traffic routes as well as precautions to protect neighboring living and working places against flying stones, vibrations, fumes from explosives and noise,
- True-to-scale site plan (segregation plan) or documents with information on the distance of the blasting sites from traffic routes, residential and work sites and public utility facilities within a radius of at least 300 m

Deadlines
The notification must be:
- at least four weeks before the start of the blasting if several similar blastings are to be carried out
- at least one week before any other blasting (single blasting).
In addition, any change in a blast that has already been displayed must be displayed immediately.
Procedure & Fees
Procedure
- You can report the planned demolition in writing or electronically (including the documents listed in the notification) to the Office for Occupational Safety and Health - Explosives.
- If all the documents are complete, the responsible body will check whether all the requirements for notification under Section 1 (1) 3.SprengV have been met. If this is the case, you have fulfilled your reporting obligation.
- You may only carry out the blasting if you have fulfilled the notification obligation according to § 1 Para.1 3.SprengV.
Processing time
If the documents are complete, the notification will be processed promptly.

Service description
