Procedure

Aid is only granted upon application. The form provided by the BJV must be used when submitting the application. The application must be submitted before the start of the measure.
An additional prerequisite is the proper reporting of the number of animals to the animal disease fund and the timely and complete payment of the due contributions.
For the services provided by the State Laboratory Institute for Hygiene and Environment for laboratory diagnostic tests, data is exchanged between the BJV and the HU. The aid is paid as a subsidy to the service providers commissioned to carry out the measure. Aid for animal losses is granted as a grant directly to the aid recipient.

The Authority for Justice and Consumer Protection (BJV) can pay aid for measures to prevent, control, monitor and eradicate animal diseases, infectious animal diseases or zoonoses as well as for measures from monitoring and animal health programs. The subsidies are paid as voluntary services by the BJV to promote animal health and, last but not least, to protect consumers. Prerequisites for payment are the proper animal number reports and late reports as well as the timely payment of the contributions to the TSK Hamburg. The measures for which aid is granted and further requirements for the payment of the aid are regulated in the respective applicable aid statute. The benefits under the applicable aid statute must be exempt from the EU.
