Approval of an X-ray facility for teleradiology
If you want to use an X-ray device for the purpose of teleradiology, this activity must be approved.

Prerequisites
Permission requirements can be found in § 14 (2) StrlSchG.
Documents required
- Written application for a permit signed by the radiation protection officer
- Description of the X-ray device, if necessary, expert test report
- Orders of the required number of radiation protection officers
- Evidence of the required specialist knowledge of teleradiologists and radiation protection officers
- Proof of the knowledge of the doctors on site
- Evidence of the specialist knowledge of the people involved in the technical implementation
- Overall concept for the teleradiological operation
- Acceptance of the teleradiology line and the components

Procedure
- You are submitting an application for a permit or an application for a significant change to an existing permit.
- You add all the necessary documents.
- If the documents or information required for processing are incomplete, you will be contacted by the administrative department.
- If the requirements for the approval are met, you will receive an approval.
- The permit will be sent to you by post.
- You will receive the notification of fees in a separate post.

usually 4 weeks
Fees
The granting or refusal of approval is subject to a fee. The fees are calculated according to the time spent in accordance with § 2 of the Hamburg fee schedule.

Legal remedies
Objections to the decision can be lodged with the competent authority/department within one month of notification. The unsuccessful objection procedure is subject to a fee.
