Report employment in connection with the operation of a third-party X-ray facility or a third-party interference source.
If you employ people who work in a third-party facility with X-ray equipment or stray radiation sources, you must report this in writing. This applies to you if you work in third-party systems yourself.

Prerequisites
You can only apply for a license if you are responsible for radiation protection according to § 69 StrlSchG.
Documents required
- Written notification by the radiation protection officer.
- Current certificate of good conduct or license from the radiation protection officer.
- If necessary, appointments of radiation protection officers and evidence of the specialist knowledge in radiation protection of these persons.
- If no radiation protection officers are required or if the radiation protection officer works in an external facility, the applicant's specialist qualification in radiation protection must be presented.
- Evidence that the persons otherwise active in the operation of the X-ray facility have the necessary knowledge and skills with regard to the possible radiation hazard and the protective measures to be taken.
- Evidence that the persons employed in the company with the external X-ray equipment or stray radiation sources obey the radiation protection officers and radiation protection officers.

Procedure
- You report the planned activities of your employees in connection with third-party X-ray equipment or sources of interference in writing and informally, including the documents listed in the notification.
- If the documents or information required for processing are incomplete, you will be contacted by the administrative department.
- The decision will be sent to you by e-mail or by post.
- The notice of fees will usually be sent to you later.

The notification is subject to a fee. The fees are calculated according to the time spent in accordance with § 2 of the fee schedule.

Legal remedies
Objections to the decision can be lodged with the competent authority/department within one month of notification. The unsuccessful objection procedure is subject to a fee.
