If you want to operate an X-ray device that has a CE mark or type approval, you must report this.

Prerequisites
You can only apply for a license if you are responsible for radiation protection according to § 69 StrlSchG.
The notification must be made 4 weeks before initial commissioning.

Procedure & Fees
Procedure
You fill out the relevant notification form completely and send it to the Office for Occupational Safety and Health - Department for Radiation Protection, including the documents listed in the notification.
If the documents or information required for processing are incomplete, you will be contacted by the administrative department.
If the requirements for the advertisement are met, you will receive a confirmation of the advertisement.
The confirmation of the advertisement will be sent to you by e-mail or by post.
The notice of fees will usually be sent to you later.
You may use the X-ray facility once the notification has been confirmed.
If you do not hear anything from the competent authority 4 weeks after the notification, you may also put the X-ray equipment into operation.

The confirmation of notification is subject to a fee. The fees are calculated according to the time spent in accordance with § 2 of the fee schedule.

Legal remedies
Objections to the decision can be lodged with the competent authority/department within one month of notification. The unsuccessful objection procedure is subject to a fee.

Service description
The operation of an X-ray device without the required display is prohibited.
You must submit the notification to the responsible authority - in Hamburg at the Office for Occupational Safety and Health - 4 weeks before the initial start-up.
The X-ray device can be put into operation if you have received a confirmation of notification from the responsible authority.
If you do not receive any feedback from the competent authority after 4 weeks, you can put your indicated X-ray device into operation.
The authority where the company has its registered office is always responsible for processing the notification.
