Show the testing, testing, maintenance and repair of X-ray devices and stray radiation sources
If you want to inspect, try out, maintain and repair X-ray equipment or sources of interference on a commercial basis, you must notify us of this before you start working.

Prerequisites
You can only report the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of X-ray equipment and sources of interference if you are responsible for radiation protection according to § 69 StrlSchG.
Section 22 (3) of the Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG) specifies which additional requirements must be met.

- Written notification signed by the person responsible for radiation protection
- Required documents or evidence according to § 22 paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Radiation Protection Act.

Procedure & Fees
Procedure
- You file the report and send it to the Office for Occupational Safety and Health, Department for Radiation Protection, including the required documents, before starting work.
- If the documents or information required for processing are incomplete, you will be contacted by the administrative department.
- If the necessary requirements are not met, the Office for Occupational Safety and Health, Department for Radiation Protection, prohibits the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of X-ray equipment and stray radiation sources.
- The confirmation of the advertisement will be sent to you by e-mail or by post.
- The notice of fees will usually be sent to you later.

Fees
The processing of notifications according to Section 22 of the Radiation Protection Act is subject to a fee.
The fees are calculated according to the time spent in accordance with § 2 of the fee schedule.

You can object to a ban on your activity at the competent authority/office within one month of notification. The unsuccessful objection procedure is subject to a fee

Service description
The operation of X-ray devices or interference sources for the purpose of testing, testing, maintenance and repair without the required display is prohibited.
You can file a complaint with the competent authority - in Hamburg at the Office for Occupational Safety and Health. The authority where the company has its registered office is always responsible for processing the notification.
