Procedure

Aid is only granted upon application. The form provided by the BJV must be used when submitting the application. The application must be submitted before the start of the measure.
An additional prerequisite is the proper reporting of the number of animals to the animal disease fund and the timely and complete payment of the due contributions.

For the services provided by the State Laboratory Institute for Hygiene and Environment for laboratory diagnostic tests, data is exchanged between the BJV and the HU. The aid is paid as a subsidy to the service providers commissioned to carry out the measure. Animal loss subsidies are granted as a grant directly to the beneficiary.

The authority for justice and consumer protection can pay subsidies for measures for the early detection and for the prevention, control, monitoring and eradication of animal diseases and infectious animal diseases or zoonoses. The grants are paid as voluntary benefits for laboratory diagnostic tests for brucellosis and for official animal identification and related advisory services. There are also grants for the removal and disposal of fallen stock.

Prerequisites for the payment are the proper animal number reports and late reports as well as the timely payment of the contributions to the TSK Hamburg. The measures for which subsidies are granted as well as the further requirements for the payment of the subsidies and the amount of the subsidies are regulated in the applicable subsidy directive.
