The first step towards a debt-free future is comprehensive advice on all debt issues. On behalf of the city, various debt counseling centers in every Hamburg district offer a well-functioning and effective advisory service. They are officially recognized and work with qualified advisors.
In addition to attempting to reach an agreement with the creditors, the offices also offer you long-term help, for example in carrying out consumer insolvency proceedings. You have to expect waiting times for comprehensive advice. You can actively use the waiting time, for example, by participating in events on the insolvency proceedings or by compiling your documents.
The emergency consultation hours offered by the debt counseling centers offer you the opportunity to receive quick help with acute debt problems within a few days, for example in the case of an account or wage attachment or an appointment with the bailiff.
