Prerequisites
Anyone who has completed compulsory schooling can get involved in the federal voluntary service.

Application letter, résumé with passport photo, identity card.
Please note
The standard duration is 12 months. The service can also be shortened to 6 months or extended to 18 months, with a maximum of 24 months. People over the age of 27 can also work part-time (more than 20 hours per week).
We will inform you about the employment opportunities in the Hamburg district offices and what expectations are placed on applicants. You will receive information on the application process and the services that you will receive for the duration of your voluntary service. We mediate the contact between the applicants and the locations and carry out all other administrative tasks from the start to the end of the BFD. Start possible on the 1st of each month.
