If you move away from Hamburg during your driving training, the test will take place at your new place of residence.

Detailed description

The location where you have to take your driving test depends on your place of residence. If you move to a different location during your driving lessons, the test will take place at your new place of residence.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You have moved to Hamburg (or moved away from Hamburg).

Documents required

Notification by mail or email that the examination location must be changed due to the move.

Please note

In exceptional cases, the test can be taken at a location other than your place of residence. However, this is only possible in justified individual cases and requires an application. To apply in Hamburg, book an appointment at the LBV (appointment category "Change of driving licence data").

Procedure

  • At your new place of residence, find a new driving school and have your previous driving school confirm your training progress.
  • Please inform the LBV of your move and change of examination location in writing or by email to fuehrerschein@lbv.hamburg.de.
  • If you have moved to Hamburg and this is your new test location, you must inform your previous driving licence authority.
  • Your driving school or the relevant driver's license authority will take care of everything else (for example, registering for the exam).

Processing time

The processing time is approximately 4 weeks.

Fees are calculated depending on the effort on site.
