Apply for a driver's license, new test location after moving

Detailed description

If the learner driver moves away from Hamburg during his driver training, the test will take place at the new test location.

The learner driver can look for a new driving school at the new place of residence and can confirm his level of training from his previous driving school.

The LBV must be notified of the move and the change in testing in writing or by email (fuehrerschein@lbv.hamburg.de).

In the opposite case, the procedure must be clarified with the previous driving license authority.

Prerequisites

Hamburg is no longer the main residence under registration law.

Documents required

Written request from the learner with a reason why the test location should be relocated. The application can be made in writing or by email (fuehrerschein@lbv.hamburg.de).

Please note

The LBV reclaims the test order from the test organization (TÜV Hanse). The further procedure will be communicated by the LBV.

Processing time

The processing time is approx. Four weeks.

Fees

Fees are calculated depending on the effort on site.
