Apply for permission to purchase if you have a gun ownership card for individual people

Prerequisites

General requirements:

• Safe storage (gun cabinet resistance level 0 or I)

Hunter

• 1. and 2. multi-shot handgun (pistol, revolver)
• valid hunting license

Sports shooters:

• Proof of expertise
• Sports shooting certificate
• If applicable. Justification if you already own more than 2 multi-shot handguns or 3 semi-automatic long guns

Ship owner:

• Owns a seaworthy boat
• Storage on board (hamburger box)

Documents required

• ID card
• Sport shooting certificate or proof of seaworthy boat or valid hunting license
• If necessary, justification for sports shooters
• Proof of safe storage

Please note

To fill out the ad quicker, you can use the NWR identification numbers (NWR-ID):

• Your PersonalNWR-ID (P- or F-NWR-ID) for your personal information
• the permit NWR-ID for the weapons law permit (E-NWR-ID)
• the weapon or weapon part NWR ID (W or T NWR ID).

You will receive the NWR IDs upon request from the responsible weapons authority.

Deadlines

The rendering of weapons unusable or deactivated must be reported immediately.

Procedure

If you need a preliminary entry to purchase a weapon, you must apply for it before purchasing it with the necessary documents.
