Apply for a visitor parking permit (Hamburg Service)

As a resident in a residential parking area, you can apply for a visitor parking permit for your visitors.

Important notes

Prerequisites

  • You have your main or secondary residence in a residential park area in Hamburg.
  • You are officially registered in the residents' park area and you actually live there.

Documents required

To apply in person and online you will need the following documents:

  • Valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate
  • Vehicle registration number of your visit for entry in the visitor parking permit (e.g. as a photo)

Please note

There are the following notes:

  • The visitor parking permit must be displayed visibly in the vehicle.
  • The visitor parking permit does not secure a specific parking space, but only allows you to park in a parking space in the resident parking area in which you are registered.
  • A visitor parking permit can only be issued for a specific vehicle (license plate is entered into the resident parking permit).
  • The visitor parking permit is only valid on the selected day of the visit.

If you would like to apply for the visitor parking permit online:

  • You can apply for a visitor parking permit online and then print it out directly at home.
  • Please ensure that you enter your personal information correctly. You can use the spelling on your ID card as a guide. Otherwise technical difficulties may occur.
  • If there is a block on information in the population register, the online application cannot be used for security reasons. Please book an appointment on site.
If you would like to apply for the visitor parking permit in person:
  • Make an appointment online or by phone.

Processing time


  • The online application only takes a few minutes. After applying online, you can get the visitor parking permit print immediately at home.

  • If you apply in person, the visitor parking permit will also be issued immediately as long as you submit all of the required documents.

If you would like to apply for an identity card, passport or children's passport, you can use an existing self-recording terminal (Speed Capture Terminal) to capture the necessary biometric data (digital photo, signature, fingerprints).
Please allow a few minutes more time before your appointment to collect your data.
Note: You will not receive a printout of the digital photo.
There is no need to bring a passport photo with you when using the self-registration terminal.
