Official certificate of monument status
You need an official certificate regarding the current listed status of a building or garden. Then use the online service “Certificate of Monument Status” in the Hamburg Service.
Important notes
Prerequisites
To use this service you need a simple service account or business service account in the Hamburg service portal.
Documents required
Access data for the Hamburg service account as well as the street name and house number of the object for which the monument status is to be certified.
Please note
The declaring administrative act merely confirms the legal requirements of an architectural monument. The legal challenge must therefore be directed against the status of a monument, not against the violation of regulatory regulations.

Fees
variable
The certificate is subject to a fee in accordance with the fee schedule for official acts in the field of monument protection. The amount of the fee depends largely on the time required to examine and process the application and is usually between 7 euros and around 60 euros. A separate fee notice will be issued
Legal notes
Legal remedies
You can file a lawsuit against the decision in the case of movable monuments and architectural monuments that were included in the list of cultural monuments after 2011 and thus initiate legal redress proceedings. No declaratory administrative act can be applied for for architectural monuments that were included in the list of cultural monuments before 2011, for archaeological monuments and immovable monuments of geological history. In this case, an action for declaratory judgment must be filed directly with the administrative court.
