Apply for a grant for digitization

Prerequisites

• Complete application documents must be submitted.
• Funding for small and medium-sized commercial and craft companies as well as freelancers.
• Registered office or at least one business premises in Hamburg in which the funded measure is used.
• Only projects that have not yet started can be funded.

• Power of attorney and copy of the identity card of the principal (not applicable if no power of attorney is granted)
• Trade tax registration and input tax requirement certificate from the responsible Hamburg tax office (applies to start-up companies)
• Legitimation of the applicant or the authorized representative

• grant application
• SME Statement
• De Minimis Declaration
• Offer
• Proof of business activity

• Implementation concept (if Module I has already been used and the application for funding includes the implementation of the results from Module I)
• Statement on eligibility for funding (if you have used Module I and have an implementation concept, this point does not apply)

• Legitimation of the applicant or the authorized representative

Please note that the application must be submitted by the company itself. The possibility of authorization in the application does not refer to the integrated consulting company, but to authorized representatives in the company submitting the application.

There is no statutory processing period.

Procedure

• You can apply for the funding program via the e-application portal of the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank.
• To apply for the funding program, you have to register once and can then log in with your username.
• Submit the application online via the portal.
• If you need a statement on the eligibility for funding, this must be applied for separately in advance from a go-digital consultant or at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hamburg and submitted with the application for funding.
• After a successful examination you will receive a permit.
• After receiving the permit, you can start with your project.
• After approval, you have 12 months to implement the advice or measures.
• After completion of the project, submit the payment request.
• After the documents have been checked, the grant will be paid out.

Comment (for further information on the deadline): Approval period, the consultation or the implementation of the project must take place within these 12 months.

If all funding has been awarded before this date, the guideline expires on the day the last grant notification is issued.

Note: There are no costs unless a consultant certified as part of the federal “go-digital” program is commissioned to provide the necessary statement.

The Hamburg Investment and Development Bank promotes the switch to new digital systems and business models and processes. The funding program is divided into two modules and the eligible expenses must be at least €3,000 (net) per module and funding application.
The modules include the following services:

• Module I Hamburg Digital "Check" supports expenses for consulting service providers who have received certification as part of the federal program "go-digital".
• Module II Hamburg Digital "Invest" promotes investments to implement the developed strategies and concepts. The funding includes both hardware and software expenditures as well as expenditures for external service providers that are necessary for the implementation of the measures.
