The staff representation (e.g. staff council, general staff council) is the representation of the employees (collective bargaining employees, civil servants) of an agency of the public administration, comparable with the employee representation in the enterprises of the private economy (works council). The right to represent employees is regulated in the federal and state employee representation laws.
