Asylum Seekers Benefits Act basic benefits
According to the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act, you can apply for benefits to secure your livelihood.
Important notes
Prerequisites
Benefits are given to foreigners who
- have a residence permit,
- have a residence permit without a work permit in Germany because of the war in their home country,
- have a Duldung or
- whose asylum procedure has not been completed.

- Documents about income, burdens and assets
- Identification documents (residence permit, toleration or residence permit or settlement permit)

After the application has been submitted, an examination and decision will be made, and you will receive a written notification of this.
Processing time
A decision will be made on the application as quickly as possible. The processing time depends, among other things, on the completeness of the information and the submission of the evidence required to process the application.
