The North German Academy for Finance and Tax Law Hamburg (NoA) serves to train tax officials for a career in the higher service in the tax administration of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It was founded in 2010 and is the successor institution to the University of Finance. The NoA wants to combine scientific and practical relevance in the training for the higher administrative service, so that in addition to technical content also extensive social science basics are imparted. In order to achieve this connection between science and practice, subjects such as income tax law, sales tax law, bookkeeping, private law, economics, white-collar crime and social sciences are on the schedule.
