Service description
Nature conservation has various options for placing certain habitats under protection. The nature reserve is certainly the best-known protected area. In addition, there are landscape protection areas, natural monuments and, according to European regulations, bird protection areas and fauna-flora habitat areas, also known as FFH areas. The two European protection categories are also referred to as Natura 2000 areas.
