Change of use of buildings and parts thereof

Prerequisites

Whether a change of use requires approval or does not require approval depends on various requirements. These must be checked in each individual case.

Deadlines

If the building application shows significant deficiencies, the district office will be asked to rectify the deficiencies within a reasonable period of time. The deadline depends on the extent of the defects

Procedure

A building permit is required for the change of use. You can find out whether a change of use does not require approval under certain circumstances as part of a fee-based building consultation. After submitting the building application with any documents required to assess the project, you will receive confirmation of receipt. The responsible district office will then examine your application. You will be informed of the outcome of the procedure.

Processing time

The processing time depends on the scope of the project applied for and can take 1 to 3 months after the required documents have been submitted in full.
