Parent-Child Centers General Information

Parent-child centers are meeting places for families with children. They can also access support, education, and counseling services and receive assistance with parenting issues.

Detailed description

Parent-child centers in daycare centers are meeting places, primarily for families with children under three years of age. However, they are generally open to all children not yet enrolled in school and their parents. They can take advantage of support, education, and counseling services and receive assistance with parenting issues without having to travel long distances, without registration, and without a daycare voucher. Parent-child centers offer, among other things:

  • an open parent-child club,
  • Play and learning hours for children,
  • Parent-child offers,
  • Parent education, information and counseling services.

You can use all of the services easily and without any bureaucratic hassle. Parent-child centers are located in all Hamburg districts. You can find out exactly where the parent-child centers are located in the "Links" section.
