Detailed description
A large city like Hamburg cannot be kept free of construction sites. Outdated infrastructure must be modernized. In addition, Hamburg needs new infrastructure that can meet the challenges of the future (e.g. district heating, fiber optics, hydrogen network, improved local public transport). An intact road infrastructure is a basic requirement for modern mobility and an effective measure for ensuring traffic flow in the long term.
Construction site coordination plays an important role here, coordinating the construction work of various parties in such a way that alternative and diversionary routes are available and travel delays are kept as short as possible. At the same time, accessibility to the districts and business locations is ensured. In order to achieve this and to guarantee the safety of all road users, traffic control measures (e.g. designating diversions, temporary traffic signs, warnings, markings) are put in place during the construction work.
