The Hamburg Solar Center is an independent and expert information and advisory center on the topic of solar energy use. The Solar Center team provides information and advice on all aspects of solar energy use in and around Hamburg. The advice is product-neutral and independent.


If you would like to learn more about topics such as solar thermal energy, solar power (photovoltaics), or ambient heat (e.g., heat pumps), the staff at the Solar Center are the right people to contact. You can also find further information in the "Links" section.

There are no prerequisites.

Documents required

No documents are required for the consultation. However, if you have documents that illustrate your situation, this will facilitate targeted and specific advice.

Please note

Modern heating systems are now combined with solar energy. If you are building a new home or replacing your boiler, you should include a solar thermal system in your plans. Approximately 5 square meters of solar collectors are sufficient to cover half of the annual hot water needs in a single-family home.



Numerous funding programs are available to help you realize your solar power system, and in many cases these can even be combined.
