The legal area of the personnel department, the department of ministerial affairs and legal affairs of the staff (V 42) is responsible for matters of personnel law of the BSB (e.g. compensation matters in connection with work and work accidents)
The legal department is not a public agency. The legal department cannot offer legal advice to citizens in disputes with the administration or in other proceedings. The Public Legal Information Office (ÖRA) offers legal advice and practical help for all low-income Hamburgers (see links).
