Detailed description

Land surveying refers to the measurement of land parcels and buildings.


With regard to land parcels, the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying (LGV) performs the following services for you:

  • Division of land parcels into two or more land parcels
  • Merger of land parcels
  • Production, display and marketing of boundary points

Other tasks include

  • Definition and securing of load-bearing areas
  • Border negotiations on site in cases of unclear border conditions
  • Clarification of discrepancies regarding the border demarcation on site
  • Determinations of distance measurements
    • of buildings
    • building sections
    • Trees along the border
  • Certificates of parcel-related facts
 

Information

Prerequisites

  • The parcel of land is their property.
  • If the parcel of land is not your property, you will need a power of attorney from the owner.
  • If a parcel of land is co-owned, everyone must agree to the survey.
  • Holders of a building lease are also entitled to place orders.
  • An order can only be placed in written form.

Documents required

  • Proof that you are the owner of the property
  • a power of attorney from the owner
  • or a sales contract

Information about the owner of a house or property is generally not given for reasons of data protection.

Processing time

The processing time depends on the scope of the survey.

Fees

Information on the amount of fees / prices can be obtained as follows:


  • by phone,

  • on the fee schedule for official surveying and the expert committee for property values in Hamburg (GebOVerm) in the currently valid version or

  • via the LGV price list in its currently valid version.
