Lay judges who have not yet been elected should contact the district office, see the link for alderman elections.

Please note

If it is actually necessary for a lay judge to appear at a court hearing, he will be written to and summoned to this hearing. The receipt of the letter is usually to be confirmed by telephone in the office. (If there is no confirmation, the alderman will most likely be contacted again by telephone by the office.) If a alderman has not received a summons, his appearance is not required.
