Supervision of conduct is an outpatient measure of improvement and security for offenders with an increased risk of recidivism. It occurs in particular after a longer prison sentence has been served in full, after release from a placement in a psychiatric hospital, a rehabilitation center or from preventive detention.
The aim is to provide follow-up care for those affected who require special monitoring and support in the interests of improvement and safety.
The chambers for the execution of sentences of the regional courts decide by order on the commencement of supervision of conduct and impose conditions and instructions on the convicted person, which are monitored by the supervision of conduct.
The Hamburg Leadership Supervision Office is responsible for all persons who are subject to leadership supervision and are resident in Hamburg.
