Vehicle registration number allocation tax-exempt

Prerequisites

• Vehicle whose owner is exempt from road tax
• no exception from Section 9 (2) of the Vehicle Registration Ordinance (FZV)

Documents required

• Application for allocation of a green license plate when submitting the application (will be made available on site)
• Registration certificate Part I / vehicle registration)
• the black license plates if the vehicle is still registered
• the otherwise usual documents according to the case configuration (see corresponding service description, such as vehicle registration, vehicle re-registration, etc.), if at the same time the owner is still to be admitted.

Please note

The Landesbetrieb Verkehr first processes the application and assigns the green license plate. The application as such is forwarded to the main customs office and a final decision is made there.

The main customs office will then contact the applicant.
A combination of seasonal license plates and green license plates is possible (Section 9 (3) FZV).

The allocation of a green label is noted in Part I of the registration certificate.

Appointment booking
There is no special appointment case type for this indicator. An appointment is to be made during admission.
It is therefore necessary to select the respective admission case type in the appointment management, e.g. description from outside Hamburg.

Procedure

The green license plate is issued as part of vehicle registration.

Processing time

The processing time depends on the relevant process of vehicle registration.
