Prerequisites

• The towing vehicle meets the technical requirements for towing the trailer (inspection and use are the responsibility of the driver).

Documents required

• Registration certificate part I
• Report from the expert/examiner, if the suitability is not noted in the registration certificate

Deadlines

The sticker must be affixed as soon as you want to drive with your trailer faster than 80 km/h.

Procedure

• Book an appointment online.
  • On our website for booking appointments, select the category "Vehicle registration"
  • Then book "Change of vehicle documents - technical changes"
  • You will receive an email. Confirm your reservation using the link in the email.
• Please bring all necessary documents and the appointment confirmation with you to your appointment at the LBV.
• Scan the QR code on your appointment confirmation using the scanner on site.
• Take a seat in the waiting area. You will be called by your call number.
• Your request is being processed

Processing time

Your request will be processed directly on site.

Fees

The fees range from €5.00 to €15.00.


The exact amount of the fee can only be determined on site after the complete documentation has been submitted.


The basis for the amount of the fees is the fee schedule for measures in road traffic (GebOSt).
