Please note
Since August 1, 2019, paper tax returns have to be sent to be scanned before processing so that they can be recorded electronically. The declarations are not processed directly. Questions about the likely amount of the tax refund or additional tax payment can no longer be answered when submitting the tax return.
In addition to the information and collection points of the responsible tax office, you can also go to the information and collection points of the other Hamburg tax offices. In the tax office that is not regionally responsible, there is no access to the procedure and inquiries about specific tax cases cannot be answered. ELStAM matters (tax class change, wage tax reduction applications, etc.) can be processed at any Hamburg information and acceptance point.
