If you want to park in Hamburg, you can save yourself the trip to the parking ticket machine and pay the parking fees by mobile phone instead. Simple, practical and quick.

Since the billing is almost accurate to the minute, you only pay for the parking time that you actually parked. The annoying coin search is also no longer necessary. At all parking ticket machines in Hamburg there is a sticker with the inscription www.mobil-parken.de. It indicates that the parking fees can also be paid by mobile phone. There is also a six-digit number on the sticker. The first three digits stand for the location (200 stands for Hamburg), the last three digits stand for the respective parking zone. You start the payment with this number.

Prerequisites

To use the service, you must first register for a provider at www.mobil-parken.de. On the website you will find a list of the various providers that are available in Hamburg. How exactly the parking or payment process works, whether for example in the app or by SMS or phone call, is not decided by the city of Hamburg, but depends on the selected provider. You can therefore find more detailed information on their websites or applications.
In many cases, the provider's application will locate you directly in the correct mobile phone parking zone. Please check, however, whether the six-digit number mentioned on the sticker on the parking ticket machine matches the number in the app. Once the provider has confirmed the parking process, no further steps are required on your part.

Basically, the billing of the parking fees takes place depending on the fee zone in the following cycles: Zone I: parking 1 cent for 18 seconds, zone II: parking 1 cent for 36 seconds, zone III: parking 1 cent for 72 seconds
