Detailed description
HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU) has a unique profile: The university, founded in 2006, combines all aspects of building and urban development in design, engineering and natural sciences as well as humanities and social sciences in the following study programs under one roof: architecture, civil engineering, geodesy and geoinformation, urban planning - each as a bachelor's degree with a consecutive master's degree, metropolitan culture as a bachelor's degree, and urban design and resource efficiency in architecture and planning (REAP) as an overarching master's degree. The questions about the future of cities and regions must be answered in an exchange between science and society. The HCU Hamburg therefore sees itself not just as a city laboratory - the university offers space for public discourse in a variety of formats.
