Pregnancy and childbirth are phases of life that are associated with major changes and often uncertainties for pregnant women, mothers and families. Overwork in everyday life, social isolation, psychological stress, addiction problems, illnesses, adolescence or material poverty can lead to excessive demands in this phase of life.
Regional family teams offer parents-to-be and families with babies and toddlers up to one year of age, if necessary, also up to the age of three in difficult life situations, help and support in coping with everyday life with the newborn.
The teams of family midwives, social pedagogues and family health and child nurses with their wealth of experience and competence offer expert help in all matters relating to the birth and growing up of the child.
They accompany the family when necessary and, with the consent of the parents, pass them on to other support agencies in the regional network if necessary. The family teams know their way around the district and work close to home. This is good for short distances and a trusting relationship on a personal level.
