Did you acquire your professional qualifications abroad and want to work in your profession in Germany? The Central Contact Point for Recognition (ZAA) advises you on the recognition of your foreign professional and educational qualifications.

You have acquired a vocational and/or educational qualification abroad.

Documents required

For the consultation, please bring the following documents with you, if they are available:

curriculum vitae
Certificates / Diplomas
German translation of the documents
Correspondence and notices from competent authorities and recognition bodies

Depending on the profession, additional documents may be required.

Please note

The following forms of counseling are offered:

Personal advice in the ZAA rooms
Online consultation via Skype or Zoom
telefonic consultancy
Written advice via email

In preparation for making an appointment, please inform the staff about the following:

Type of your degree and certificate
Country of origin of the degree/certificate

Your expectations from the consultation
