Prerequisites

• There is a legitimate reason for the registration of the building burden (e.g. construction project, change of use of a property, public interests)
• The building burden must be in the public interest, for example with regard to the development of the property, the protection of environmental resources or the security of public order (for example fire protection).

It is also possible for a building encumbrance to be registered independently of a specific construction project, for example when it comes to safeguarding public interests such as the preservation of green spaces or the protection of water resources.

Procedure

• You submit an application (for example: granting a building permit, approval of a change of use or registration of a building burden) and provide the necessary documents.
• The responsible authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
• If all requirements are met, the building burden is entered in the building burden register.
• You will receive written notification of the decision.
• You pay the applicable fees.
