To be allowed to drive an unregistered vehicle on public roads to a limited extent, you must apply for an exemption. This is the case, for example, if a public road runs through a company's premises.

Before an exemption can be granted, approval from the local police department is required. This approval is obtained by the State Traffic Authority.
You may only use the vehicle for the purpose specified in the exemption permit.
The exemption is issued for a maximum of 1 year.
The processing time depends on the individual case.
The fees are EUR 102.30.
