No. However, official company numbers must be stated in the forms of the waste verification process such as disposal certificates, accompanying notes and acceptance forms. These forms must be completed before waste disposal begins. The waste disposal number must therefore already be available to you at this point.

Procedure

• You apply for the waste disposal number from the responsible authority (an online service is available)
• The responsible authority first checks whether the information is complete and plausible and whether the necessary documents have been attached.
• If necessary, the responsible authority will request information and documents from you.
• If the information and documents are complete and plausible, the authority will issue a company number and inform you of it.

The processing time varies depending on the type and scope of the application and the responsible authority.
