In the case of a Bundestag or European election, if you move to Hamburg from a German municipality, you will automatically be accepted into your new Hamburg polling station up to the 42nd day before the election and you will receive a voting notification at your new address. After the 42nd day you can have your booking changed at your new Hamburg polling station up to the 21st day before the election - you can apply for a change in your booking at your polling station. A rebooking is no longer possible after the 21st day. You are then still entitled to vote in your old polling station in your last municipality of residence.
