Groundwater lowering report measurement data

If you lower the groundwater level, you may be required to report how much water you have extracted or how the groundwater level is changing. Learn how and where to report the measurement data.

If you want to lower the groundwater level, you need a water law permit.


The granting of this permit is often subject to certain conditions (conditions). These may include the requirement to regularly report to the relevant authority:

  • how much water you have pumped or
  • how the groundwater level has changed.

You already have a permit to lower (extract) groundwater and with the permit you have been required to report measurement data.
