Register prostitution for the first time

If you work as a prostitute in Germany, you are obliged to register with the authorities.
  •

Detailed description

If you engage in prostitution in Germany, you are required to register with the authorities and seek medical advice beforehand. The obligation to register and seek medical advice applies without exception to all people who provide sexual services for payment. The medical advice and registration must be done in person. A certificate is issued for the registration. This is valid nationwide and can also be issued in all federal states or municipalities.
If you are between 18 and 21 years old, you must renew your registration certificate after one year. If you are older than 21, you must renew your registration after two years.
