Detailed description
As a parent with custody, you are obliged to report the birth of your child to the relevant authority.
Even if the child was stillborn, you must report it to the relevant authorities.
If your child was born in a hospital or birthing center, these institutions will take on this task.
If the child was born at home or elsewhere and the parents are unable to register the birth, the birth must be registered with the registry office by, for example, a midwife or other person present.
For unusual birth locations, for example if the child is born on a ship or in a car, please contact the registry office.
