Under the Hamburg Waste Water Act, companies specializing in the removal of waste water have to prove that they have the necessary expertise, equipment and vehicles.

Detailed description

According to the Hamburg Wastewater Act, the owner or the authorized user is obliged to have wastewater treatment systems (separator systems, wastewater collection pits, small sewage treatment plants and other systems) maintained by specialist companies and to have retained substances disposed of by specialist companies. In an approval process according to the Hamburg Wastewater Act, these specialist companies must prove that they have the necessary expertise, equipment and vehicles.
Separator systems for fats or light liquids must be checked regularly by authorized experts.

 

Information

Prerequisites

The informal application must contain information about the area of responsibility of the company, the number of employees involved in the removal of the waste water and the vehicle fleet.

Documents required

The following documents must be enclosed in 1 copy:

  • business registration
  • Listing of the vehicles used for waste water disposal, stating the type of vehicle, the capacity of the suction tank (in the case of a combined high-pressure flushing and vacuum device, the maximum possible) and the respective license plate number.

Please note

The application must also state whether it is a matter of removing waste water from collection pits, chemical toilets, small sewage treatment plants and/or other waste water.

Deadlines

Approval must be in place prior to commencing operations.
